How long have you been working with ABAA?
6 years ago I worked with ABAA for a year, however most recently I have been working with ABAA for 7 months.
What's your role in helping the Association?
My role in helping the association is in membership and client relations. I am the main point of contact for members and I facilitate the committee and board of directors meetings.
Where's the farthest place you've travelled to?
The furthest place I have traveled is to London, England for a basketball tournament in my second year of college. We played 8 games in 9 days, so I would very much like to go back to see more of the sights (other than the inside of gyms).
What was your favorite TV Show and Band while you were growing up?
It's hard to pick! When I was really little my favorite was "Jem and the Holograms" and my tastes matured into mostly "Saved by the Bell" and "Head of the Class". Like every other girl born in the early 80's, my favorite band was hands down, no question - New Kids on the Block.
Are you a dog or a cat person?
I never had either growing up as my parents always claimed that we were too busy but my husband acquired a miniature schnauzer the week we started dating which instantly turned me into a dog person. His name is Jake and he is the perfect mix of playful puppy (although he is 7 now) and lazy lap dog. He has also been hit by a car, fallen through the ice on the river behind our house and has epilepsy - although none of those things have done him in. He is a super dog.
What are you most excited about with regards to ABAA's future?
As I learn and understand more about ABAA and the industry the opportunity exists for the association moving forward is becoming very clear. As air barriers are still a relatively new concept in the US, ABAA has such a unique opportunity to educate, promote and be the voice of the industry. I'm excited to be a part of it.
